About
I am Yihao Bian, a PhD candidate in Municipal Engineering at the College of Environmental Science and Engineering, Tongji University. My research focuses on drinking-water safety and biological nitrogen removal, including lead and cadmium behavior in distribution-pipe biofilms; bacterial endotoxin release and control under chlorine, chlorine dioxide, chloramine and UV disinfection; and partial nitrification, Nitrospira, Anammox and Comammox-related nitrogen removal under varying dissolved oxygen, cold-storage, sulfide and ferrous-iron conditions. I also study Arctic microplastic transport pathways, climate feedbacks and governance. I am the founder of Shanghai Jingshuiji Environmental Technology Co., Ltd., working to connect research with engineering practice.
